One of my favourite memories of my children is while we were on vacation over Christmas a few years back. My older son was devastated that we would be in a hotel over the holiday - how would Santa find us? How would he know where we were? Little did my son know that we'd arranged for Santa to come to our hotel on Christmas morning itself. When he opened the door to that jolly familiar face decked out in red and white fur, his smile couldn't have been brighter.

We had an hour that morning to play with Santa, read books, have pillow fights, and share in the memories. Our son still talks about his special Christmas memories, and it's these Santa photos that decorate the walls of our house. These are the moments I capture for other children - the love, the joy, the personal connection...

...THE SANTA EXPERIENCE

Come join me in-studio for your Santa Experience this year. This is a fully interactive opportunity for your child to enjoy one-on-one time with Santa, to be truly immersed in the holiday experience. This isn’t a traditional photography session with standard poses, but a live photojournalist documentation of the family’s interaction with Santa. I use a variety of activities to help the session flow naturally depending on the age and cooperation of the participants, and of course, the best part is capturing your children's natural relationship with Santa in a very private holiday setting.

The images that I place in your gallery are more fine-art based than my usual style. Each image has been individually edited and carefully crafted, producing fine art, high-end portraiture images

designed to be cherished, wall-mounted and shared.

My Santa Experience sessions are a very unique type of package. Each session fee includes both the Santa Experience and a set number of favourite fine art Santa images delivered to you via high-resolution digital download. In addition, you are welcome to purchase additional digital files, images and prints as upgrades. Tax will be added to all purchases and to the session fees. An online gallery will be presented to you within 14 days after your session so that you can select your images .

FAQ

Can we change outfits during the session? The session time slot is very strict, so any changing of clothing will take away from shooting time. The time slot can not be extended based on this lost time. We recommend arriving at the studio wearing the outfits you would like to be in for your photos. Similarly, late arrivals will not receive time extensions - please arrive early.

What happens if my child doesn’t cooperate? While there is no guarantee that every child is ready to see and interact with joy with Santa, I have a high success rate of capturing happiness and joy with my clients - including with Santa! I work hard to ensure laughter and smiles from my littles. That being said, we will capture what is present. And as a mom who has a picture of my own 2-year-old pouting in his own Santa picture, I truly believe that some of the best Santa photos include capturing their natural reactions!

What do I need to do to book?

There are a few easy steps to book your appointment! Please schedule a time on my calendar at kirstenlauferphotography.acuityscheduling.com. Within 48 hours of booking, you must submit the forms available on my site at www.kirstenlauferphotography.com/forms and submit a 25% ($40) retainer per session booked. The retainer can be paid via cash, cheque or EMT to kirsten@kirstenlauferphotography.com.

Is my session reservation fee refundable?

Your session retainer is non-refundable however your session reservation fee is transferable to another one of our other 2018 holiday sessions sessions should you be able to attend your session. A minimum of 48 hours notice must be given to .

When will I receive my digital files and products purchased? Once you place your order through your online gallery or private studio session your digital files will be finalized for digital download in 48 hours. Holiday cards, prints and gifts will be available for pick up at the studio within 7-14 business days.

Is family welcome to join the session? Of course! These sessions are not exclusive to the children. The entire (immediate) family can participate as well in the Santa Experience. Please note that the more people who are in attendance, the more crowded the set will be, and that will be apparent with photos. I generally recommend that the majority of the photos be of the children with Santa alone, and then we can add in mom & dad for some more traditional photos towards the end (or beginning!) of the photoshoot.

What about cousins? We suggest booking back to back sessions so that we can ensure that both families/children are able to get the full experience….

How old is too young? Newborns as young as 5 days old are welcome to join!

How old is too old? Anyone who is young at heart and believes in Santa is welcome to join in.
